On Sunday, Chase, Maggie and I went up to Mt. Hood for some sledding and snow play with Bailey, Luke and Chris. We stopped at Joe's donuts on the way. Upon arriving at Snow Bunny, it was about 45 degrees and sunny, with no wind. The snow was bumpy and the kids were both fearless as they hurtled down the slopes. Chase basically couldn't climb up the icy parts and just kept crashing. Chris brought two sno racer sleds that Chase enjoyed riding. On one run, he was descending along the left-most part of the hill, started going into some small trees, then catapulted forward into a hole, with his legs tangled in the runners of the sled. He was fine, but quite stuck.
Last night (Monday), the kids and I made apple cider muffins after dinner. Around that time, Maggie and Chase were engaged in a drawn out conversation about ninjas and zombies, and were dressed like ninjas and planning sneaky ninja ways to convince me to give them money.
Chase: Which ones are black, zombies or ninjas?
Maggie: Ninjas.
Chase: Which ones eat brains?
Maggie: Zombies.
Chase: What do ninjas eat?
Maggie: Food. Ninjas are people that know karate.
Chase: What's karate?
Maggie: Ugghh. It's hard to explain.
Chase: What color are zombies?
Maggie: They're green. Zombies are green.
Another random note. Chase, Maggie and I went to see the Blazers play the Thunder on 3/28. Guys in front of us were booing the refs a lot. Chase was asking what they were doing. I explained that they disagreed with decisions that the referees were making and that they thought the decisions weren't fair. After we got home I mentioned to Annie that the guys in front of us were yelling a lot. Chase chimed in, "Because it wasn't fair for the directors."
