It has been a fun week with the kids:
- We did a Sunday Slow Roll Pedalpalooza ride from K' park to King Farmers Market, where Chase rode a full 30 blocks (slowly), and Maggie rode the whole way, mostly separate from Chase and I, and with some other girls.
- Last night we did the ding ding ride around the Ladd Circle. Chase was honking away with me, going slow and being careful, while huge groups kept lapping us. Maggie was off on her own again, with no fear or incident. After this ride Chase was talk about "In the other Pedalpalooza ride . . . " This warms my heart.
- Chase came down to the living room after bedtime last night. He looked at us sitting on the couch and said, "Can I wear socks to bed?" Sure, we said. You have socks upstairs. "But I want to have socks that only have one." Eventually it was determined that he wanted to get socks from the downstairs sock area where there was only one container. But most of the time, he just stood there staring at us with a blank face, and it was all we could do to not burst out laughing as we watched the wheels turn in his mind. Finally, when he felt like he had explained the situation to us, he turned around and ran back upstairs. Without having gotten the socks.
